RRC has taken a different approach to assessment that makes the process clearer and more straightforward for you and your assessor. When you start your course, you will be provided with the marking criteria for assessments, as well as expanded learner notes for each unit which removes ambiguity around what you need to do to successfully complete the unit.

All assessments and evidence are submitted to RRC’s online learning platform. This will be a combination of:
  • Work-based assessment - set tasks to be completed and supported by work-based evidence
  • Reflective tasks - Reflections to show how you have developed from experiences at work and how your competence has improved
  • Knowledge competence check - a series of questions to validate your knowledge
  • There will also be 2 professional discussions with your assessor to review your progress and further evaluate your competence. These will take place after you have completed the 5th and 10th units.
For each module, once all your assessments and evidence has been submitted, your assessor will mark your uploaded documents and evidence against the same marking criteria you have been provided. If there are areas where you haven’t quite met the criteria, your assessor will highlight which parts of the criteria have not been met so that you can easily update and resubmit.
