Unit DI2: Do – Controlling Workplace Health Issues includes:

Occupational Health Services and Surveillance:

  • Ensure employee well-being and equality.
  • Address mental health concerns.
  • Prevent workplace violence.
  • Manage lone working situations.
  • Monitor employee health.
  • Identify risks and prevent health issues.

Hazardous Substances, Epidemiology, Radiation and Toxicology:

  • Handle and manage hazardous materials.
  • Assess risks associated with substances.
  • Study disease patterns and toxic effects.
  • Managing exposure risks.
  • Address biological hazards.
  • Ensure safe handling and removal of Asbestos and Lead.

Ventilation and PPE:

  • Provide proper ventilation systems.
  • Supply necessary protective gear.

Noise and Vibration

  • Control workplace noise levels.
  • Address vibration-related risks.

Musculoskeletal Issues and Manual Handling:

  • Prevent injuries related to lifting and handling.
  • Promote ergonomic practices.

Workplace Temperature and Welfare Arrangements:

  • Ensure comfortable working conditions.
  • Provide welfare facilities for employees
